I know it is during trading day and sorry for the
'ot', but how could having birdshot in your heart be 'mild' and 'slighly injured'.... strange, but when someone is shot and ammo ends up in the heart it is always described as critical...somehow they're parcelling this news out slowly over time here, downplaying everything. it just doesn't feel right. I hope this reuters piece is wrong on the birdshot in heart stuff, if it isn't than there are bigger issues here I'd think. makes you go hmmmmm.
HOUSTON (Reuters) - The Texas lawyer accidentally shot by Vice President Dick Cheney during a weekend quail hunt suffered a minor heart attack on Tuesday when some of the birdshot in his body lodged in his heart, a hospital spokesman said.
Harry Whittington, 78, has been moved into intensive care and will have to stay in the Corpus Christi, Texas hospital where he is being treated for at least another seven days to monitor his condition, said Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital spokesman Peter Banko.
