Adding to post 171243, i also want to say that IF a mod were considering changing position, he/she certainly wouldnt be able to breach the whole point of this, which is, the information he chooses to post in the info box and sticky posts. If you sign up as "for" you can NOT use the space availabe for advertisement (ibox and sticky) to advertise "against". vice versa.

in my last post in response to Janice i believe we were discussing a mod who could sign up on one side and then change his mind and potentially post on the msg board his new views. not only would that be a rare event, but it also wouldnt affect the whole point of this.

again please Admin, i ask for you to weigh the options here and decide which is best.

Thank you.

It is very unlikely but if they change their mind they can simply resign and/or voice a geniune concern. there is a noticeable difference between realism verses an agenda.

LOLOL!! It isn't unlikely at all. There's often a general exit of mods when yet another pumpadump crashes and burns. But you're right. Usually they just resign.

And that's as it should be: mods are assigned; if they don't want to do the job anymore they resign or simply don't post for three months and so are removed. If they do an obviously BAD job--that is, if they make too many improper deletions, or have too many deletions of their own posts--they may be removed by the admins.
