He says that he went to Bangladesh several years ago to set up the mill with the equipment that he purchased in the Carolinas. This is where his problems with Guru started.
You might be correct that he ran away, but he may be truthful when he says he left to set up the business.
Perhaps one day we shall find out, but I will not hold my breath.
