Charts are another piece of information to add to all the DD we do on any stock. To dismiss them outright as meaningless is a mistake IMO. Of course NEWS is the most important catalyst for micro-small cap biotech companies. That goes without saying. However, news isn't disseminated on a daily or weekly basis (nor should it be) with drug development companies. They need to be very careful and extremely precise in what and how they release information. Otherwise, every shyster law firm around will file frivolous law suits for investors on the grounds that they were mislead by the company. So in between PR's, and quarterly filings I find chart research to be very useful. Much more useful than fhe more negative pursuits that are so prevalent on stock message boards. My advice to anyone during market downturns and silent gaps between news releases is to:
Go over all of your holdings again to make certain that they still make sense and still fit your personal investment criteria.
In the case of Mast Therapeutics, the story keeps getting stronger. Buy, sell or hold.....whichever you choose to do, do it with a positive attitude and embrace the strength of your convictions!!!!
