Gee, you don't think they might have meant...
something like...
so far, only 4 core processors have been manufactured... as opposed to 8 core processors... since elsewhere in the article they talk about processors with more than 4 cores.
Do you think if Intel was embarrased about only making four of them they would have brought it up to the news guys?

Well, the article was written by longtime Intel fan Michael Kanellos, so he'd happily oblige Intel in the (B) case.
