Since when is a downtrend gauged on a daily basis? A news article that was taken negatively as well as consolidation led to a decrease in price but by no means does that make a downtrend as you suggest.
I can name a ton of stocks that have taken a daily dive only to break out higher the next week. The same can be said for an uptrend. I don't consider a stock to be in an uptrend based on 1 or 2 days. Look at what this stock has done over the past few weeks, month, etc. It's a clear uptrend that spiked a few days back, settled and should now gradually go back up anticipating the next news release.
If you believe in charts then this one is screaming a massive buy in your face whether you agree with the company or not.
At least the 40%+ short sellers finally backed off the past couple of days so it appears they feel the same way as I do about this stock breaking back upwards.
