It doesn't matter in the least.

Bordynuik is claiming that he is wanting to sell processors. The patent office deemed his processor technology and methods to be unpatentable in view of what's already patented by others.

Using a proprietary catalyst in combination with devices and methods patented by others still means that anyone using the JBI processor or methods would be infringing the patents of others.

That would be true even if they used the Lost Majik Katalyst in combination with the already-patented methods and devices.

The owners of the patents would be entitled to treble damages in a patent infringement lawsuit, since JBI would be willfully infringing those other patents.

It doesn't really matter though, since Bordynuik's Majik Katalyst story is proven to be fraudulent bullshit.

If it had been true, then JBI would have been making $10/bbl oil themselves.

Rumor has it Chris Irons figured out the catalyst in a secluded room with Bordynuik. 99 part petroleum jelly to 1 part sand.
Sooper Sekret .....shhhhhhhh.

You mean the catalyst John Bordynuik claims he found on a legacy tape from a time when plastic was not plentiful and gas was cheap? The catalyst that was so amazing that the company that actually invented it forgot about it? Or cares so little about it they are not doing anything with it?

They should license that amazing catalyst for big bucks.
