well..the chip gets certified..and then the device gets certified/approved to make sure everything is working properly.

btw..is Asus (maker of the Nexus tablet) the same company as Asustek?? If so..I'm more inclined to believe the rumor because I think Asustek is the one who has committed to putting some Intel chips in their phones this year.
