AMD Samples 8-Core ARM based Server Chip

AMD is claiming that the eight ARM cores offer 2-4x the compute performance of the Opteron X1250 -- which isn't terribly surprising considering that the X1250 is a four-core chip based on the Jaguar CPU, with a relatively low clock speed of 1.1 - 1.9GHz

Of course, owning INTC is starting to feel more and more like owning a POS penny stock that keeps promising great things only to disappoint each and every time.

That's why I divested half my holdings. I am better off looking for other opportunities while Intel works on getting themselves back on both feet. I'm happy to buy back in when or if things start turning around. My other half will ensure that I am not completely at risk of missing the initial uptick.

A Nexus 8 would all but put to rest any doubts of Intel's viability in the tablet market.

for the cellular version..I think you'll need an LTE-A chip to get any carrier interest.
