AMD is claiming that the eight ARM cores offer 2-4x the compute performance of the Opteron X1250 -- which isn't terribly surprising considering that the X1250 is a four-core chip based on the Jaguar CPU, with a relatively low clock speed of 1.1 - 1.9GHz
Some bold claims (which no one should believe)....
Of course, owning INTC is starting to feel more and more like owning a POS penny stock that keeps promising great things only to disappoint each and every time.
That's why I divested half my holdings. I am better off looking for other opportunities while Intel works on getting themselves back on both feet. I'm happy to buy back in when or if things start turning around. My other half will ensure that I am not completely at risk of missing the initial uptick.
