Excellent interview with Addax's Nigerian Petroleum Boss. In addition to the impressive company credentials and accomplishemts, it was enlightening to read that the staff at all levels is 90% Nigerian, there is an active "Nigerianization" Program at the company, and they are devoted to full cooperation with small, indigenous Nigerian oil companies and to fufllling the Nigerian governments objectives for local content and transfers of technology to Nigeria.
Addax Nigeria is now ERHC's major partner in the JDZ. ERHC is an American company essentially controlled and owned by Nigerian interests.
With this kind of Nigerian perspective, perhaps companies like Exxon, Anadarko, Pioneer and Noble and the United States government will finally understand why ERHC got the favored treatment in the awards and why it has ended up partnered with Addax.
It's all about the growth and development of the Nigerian oil industry and economy. And African economic development.
It's Nigeria. It's Africa.
And that's a reality.
