No, LG, my comments were not in jest. You know I always ask you when I want a correct reading on 'how to' on a chart. You always have an answer for me, and I've appreciated your support during my years of learning to read charts (an on-going process). I also know that, like me, you are a perfectionist, and, as you say, in utilizing patterns to help 'read' the market, one must be a perfectionist in interpreting the 'footprints' on a chart if one is to obtain the desired results.
BTW, Bulkowski, in his book, also has some good drawings of chart patterns (though different to Matra's), showing the trends leading up to the various formations and expected exits from them, as well as actual charts with formations outlined.
