The crowd has voted.
They don't want a hybrid between Ultrabook & Tablet.

This is a sad decision.

Win9 will have a Tablet-flavor but without Win32-Desktop.
The consumer-Win9 Tablet-flavor will be Modern UI only.

In April 2014 there will be a great overhaul for Win 8.1 (some call it a Service Pack).

Win 8.1 Service Pack1 will offer connected-Standby for Win8.1 64-bit.

I hope that "Win8.1 SP1 64-bit connected standby"-tablets will live for a long time.

Because Win9 won't address this class of devices (clearly a step backwards).
