Absolutely there are records, filings, corporation registrations, it's all been documented many times on IHUB and SI in years past, but the list keeps growing...one more change this week alone....IBBFF to AVPD...
With some I'd say the average name and symbol change would be 3 or 4 per original entity. In 2002 one SEC filing alone listed I think 27-30 companies.
I don't know why you argue with people that know what they are talking about and can back up and prove everything.
PS: Who said fully functioning? They are registered, some are listed on Pinks or Greys, some don't trade...most have had really only one main biz...printing paper.
