True. But AMD has much more diversified position now with its chips in everything and litecoin mining rigs everywhere. All miners have a solid agreement among the community AMD GPU units are the best for mining.

So, I'm confident we will se nice rev. Hopefully net will be solid after the work force reorganization. Best of luck to everyone. This could be my last position in semiconductor sector as after doing DD of intel compared to AMD it simply seems like that "zing" factor is gone - a very vital part of a healthy bull.

Yep

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/amd-reports-2013-fourth-quarter-213000227.html

Computing Solutions segment revenue decreased 9 percent sequentially and 13 percent year-over-year. The sequential and year-over-year declines were primarily due to decreased chipset and notebook unit shipments.
Operating loss was $7 million, compared with operating income of $22 million in Q3 2013, primarily due to lower revenue and higher bonus expense. Operating loss for Q4 2012 was $323 million.
Microprocessor Average Selling Price (ASP) increased sequentially and year-over-year.

So MPU ASP rises but computing solutions division drops into
the red. So fixed costs + lower revenue, higher variable costs,
or both?
