Note two things on their example. They draw the neckline all the way across AND there is a defined shoulder shape on the left that interacts with that neckline.
Yours doesn't.
There's also no volume on the OEX to confirm a true H+S, but I know you don't believe in that.
Tell you what -- are there any TA folks around whose opinions you trust about whether this is a H+S top? Let's ask them?
Or we can agree to disagree.
As I said, I think you're seeing a pattern where one doesn't exist and it's making you dance around trying to make other things POSSIBLY fit (and I'm not talking about your trading, as you know). I think that makes little sense, particularly when there's people who have spent decades doing TA, studying more patterns than you and I will ever do combined, and who've written textbooks that would show other patterns in play which would save you the effort of trying to re-invent the wheel (fun though it might be). Again, you'll say we get to the same price point so it doesn't matter, but I'd point out that based on this OEX complex H+S top, you've had us going down, then going up to new highs in all other indices but NOT the OEX, then going down on the daily but the weekly needing us to go up here. And I might be missing some other steps. Personally, I don't think that's efficient.
All that said, call it anything you please. I'm done talking the OEX complex H+S top here as I'm repeating myself. And if it's making you money, I shout out "wooohooooooo!"
