I would counter your arguement with the fact that nothing is ever truly "known" to be a major success until it is. Who would have though the Pet Rock would take off like it did? I mean, it was just a rock for Pete's sake!
Brilacidin was showing to be a great drug, but Polymedix was run improperly. This almost caused the drug to go to the wayside perminently. I can honestly tell you that if CTIX drops below my average, more than just me will be worried about it! That will mean a major catastrophe had occured.
Not to mention, there is a serious phychological effect seeing a major position/portfolio drop in price. Everyone should have their limits, both high and low side. Even though I have been accumulating shares since the Evans days (and there was a GREAT buying opportunity when he parted ways), if I feel this stock is going to $0, I will be closing my position in it. I am married to my wife, not this stock.
I honestly believe this is a wonderful investment opportunity, and even got my mom to invest in it. I look forward to drinking some Hennessy XO in the Signature Room in the John Hancock building with my family once this stock takes off...
