I am glad you do not see yourself as a rodent. Me either, but I act like one when I get greedy.
The bigger picture, be diversified, be patient in long-term investments, have a strategy, never risk more than one can afford to lose, in the end (hopefully) take profits. The big picture is much bigger than all this.
