I provided rationale for what another poster declared.
I provided REASONS that provide plausibility from MY POV.
My DD (some of which I have shared with the board) shows: 1) Sony has customer service issues.
2) Their DOWNLOAD (sit & wait) ONLY (not a streaming) device is NOT compatible with other TV's (brands).
3) In fact, their device (msrp of $699.99) isn't even compatible with THEIR OWN BRAND.
4) I've presented the Sony Corporate Structure to help explain WHY that may have occurred (not the first time in Sony lore btw)
5) I've presented a brief into the Sony Corporate Culture that seemingly (from manufacturing to product-deliver) is ALSO a contributing factor for this mess (imo).
6) I've presented MY VIEW of a BIG PROBLEM (encryption & piracy concerns) FUNDAMENTALLY at issue (apparently: FOR SONY).
And so my recent post is a continuation on that theme.
Will it happen? IDK. COULD Sony "just make their own"? It will take ANY company about a year to simply "roll out" a NEW PRODUCT (& that is being VERY GENEROUS with hardly ANY PROBLEMS-- not likely)....
So, while Sony could develop a new one, itm: Why lose the millions in AGGRAVATION costs? BRAND DAMAGE? MARKET SHARE? etc...the solution is there, even if ONLY temporary until they can get their OWN product working as well or better than NanoTech's Nuvola Product Line has been found to by industry.
We'll see what they do. Mine is just information. Others can VERIFY OR NO!! That is THEIR OBLIGATION, mine is merely an informed opinion on the matter....
GET THE FACTS!!!!
