The 7260 LTE-A modem is built on this process. Hopefully Intel is placing very BIG orders of this. ;-)

re Intel chip orders with TSMC

Intel's current modems are fabbed by TSMC. That is a continuing arrangement from the the company they bought (Infinion ?). I have heard that Intel will continue the TSMC fab arrangement for another 2 years until the modem interface is integrated on Intel's process.

[It's a stopgap. It will be transitioned to Intel. Intel has some inherited ARM designs.]
