Does anyone ever remember a stock jumping so much in dollars terms because of one trial result?

Share price - probably not. But to state the obvious I'd be surprised if it hadn't happened wrt MC multiple times for some of the Big Pharma.

ICPT jumped again - probably as a result of the Q CC last night where the CEO pointed out that they have specific and strong results (with the same drug) in other indication (e.g. Crohns).

(Note: I didn't vet all the claims, but will say that I vetted some. Certainly would have been worthy of follow up when this was a $1.2B company -ng-)

ICPT, which has 45 employees*, now has an EV of about $9B on a fully-diluted basis. That’s $200 million of EV per employee, which must be close to a record in terms of this rather meaningless metric.
