Like a game of IP musical chairs... investors buy the shares thinking they are getting a % of ownership of the IP but then as management dilutes this leads to shareholders having only a teeny tiny amount of interest in the actual technology? so , even though the IP assets are accounted for on the company's assets - the people who really own the patents are the management because they control the share structure? I guess my question then would be: if the IP is truly valuable how come there has never been an attempted hostile takeover of some kind?
