A) That Intel has never faced a robust alternative consumer platform? You yourself have only (recently) excluded AMD as a serious competitor.
B) That AMD has had good products but it's business was vulnerable? Haven't you yourself made the claim that "when AMD has good products they do well" and pointed to AMD's climb from ~$4 to ~$40 as proof? I'm sure there are some here that will give AMD credit for K7, Hammer, etc. as competing well against their Intel contemporaries...
