Intel is in mobile, though they are not where you/we want them to be. The ASUS Zenphone 4,5,6 and PadFone Mini all sport Atom processors. And their price points are phenomenally good. I would suspect more are on the way from other OEMs as well. Of course, they don't have LTE, but Intel's LTE is supposed to be available Q1 (or is it H1?)

Yeah, shipping antiquated Clover Trail+ into phones that very few are likely to buy and which will likely result in close to zero profit for Intel. Yep, Intel sure is in mobile! ;-)

It's not just about LTE, either. Intel's apps processors are highly lacking, they're not as integrated as customers want, and they're late.

While Qualcomm was storming the market with S600/S800, Intel was cheating on benchmarks with CLT+ and showing up late with Merrifield - just as Qualcomm prepares S805 and as NVIDIA prepares Tegra K1.

Intel's mobile efforts have been a complete disaster to date, and despite my attempts to find the silver linings over the last several years, enough is enough. Intel needs to start executing.
