Mining exploration, and mining development companies, often have rising stock prices as the day of production draws closer. The degree of rise is proportional to changes in perception of timelines and estimates of profitability. Same with biotech's. In the case of NNVC we are looking at the equivalent of a multi-billion dollar deposit of ore having sufficient grade to be mined with a great profit.
Summary: A rising stock price need not depend on present production of anything. The investing world is full of excellent examples of this.
