Perhaps that may explain all the shares that collectively traded "LONG BEFORE TODAY" to exemplify positions being closed out before the last closing bell of the year!

Many was selling HESG shares in the form of a tax write-off between themselves and their brokers.
The brokers settles with the client/shareholders then place said shares in a limbo pool, pending sales at a later date! (or whenever they get around to it)
You may see those shares flushed into the market,(massive MM' dumps), or you may not!
But at least on the shareholder's side, they can claim their losses at tax time!
