The H.265 HEVC codec is out now. DIVX is just one example of a company that is using it now... the 18 month estimate from from an article published almost a year ago (jan 2013). The first mobile chipset that i have seen claim to be able to use it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. It also looks like the Intel Atom 3770+ series might also be able to uss the new codec. But the Tegra 4 just doesnt have the cpu/gpu power to cut it, sorry...
