#35261 RE: cazual #35260

Even if my guess is correct, and this WAS a trial run for adoption of Intellicell's technology, any contracts or partnerships potentially resultant from this trip would not be issued immediately. It would be natural for Korean physicians to see the four treated patients for follow-up first -- evaluate for clinical improvement and adverse side-effects, etc. Only then would some concrete negotiations be possible. The window of such follow-up can vary greatly depending on the procedure.

But I have to admit that I cannot come up with a better explanation of Victor's visit there. By allowing some doctor from the US to come to their facility and use novel technology, they open up themselves to liability should things go wrong i.e. the patients, should they get hurt, would not be happy about being the sort of Guinea pigs who were selected to be treated differently from everyone else in the hospital. So if the hospital subjected themselves to this potential liability, they must have a bigger goal in mind than just letting someone with their novel gizmo use their facilities for no reason.

This is my logic.
