Pacific Ethanol will produce and sell alternative fuels and their byproducts. Our fuel business is currently focused on corn-derived ethanol, which can be used as a fuel additive, a fuel itself, a component of hydrogen fuel cells, or as a component in livestock feed. We sell all our ethanol through our fuel marketing subsidiary, Kinergy Marketing. We will also sell high-protein wet distillers grain (a byproduct of ethanol production), one of the most nourishing livestock feeds available, as well as carbon dioxide, another byproduct, for use in the food and beverage industry.
