Inasmuch as MNTA’s first six FoB compounds are partnered with BAX (unless BAX opts out for #3-#6), I don’t see the immediate need for an FoB executive with experience in business development. At some point, MNTA will have an interest in partnering additional FoB projects beyond the ones in the BAX collaboration, but that day is well off in the future.

Bottom line: I’m not really sold on this hiring decision, which will, of course, increase cash burn.
