Hennis had plenty of money to get the mill going, but as CEO of Colorado Goldfields continuously sold it's stock and sunk the money into properties owned by his own private company, San Juan Corp.
My opinion is this was self serving on Hennis's part and felt the company's decision to address the issue a good one. All one has to do is take a trip to the Gold King and then drive down to the mill and where the money went is very clear - no need for speculation.
I read something years ago where Hennis had convinced a group of private European investors to give him a substantial amount sometime around '05, '06 in the amount of something like $12M or $20M. I can't find the link - I should probably go over to the DD Board and ask for help finding it.
There's only been a very small group of vocal people that defend Hennis - I've never known an actual shareholder to do so.
Anotehr reverse would be logcial move, but with global lock on stock could and lack of money I am curious how they could do ? Would DTC and broadridge ooperate ?
