I think at their last CC QualcomM guided next year down a lot more than Intel. We will see how they do.

Remember Qualcomm isn't just a chip vendor. It is the ultimate IP/patent company. For every smartphone/cellular device you buy with 3G/4G technologies, Qualcomm gets about 3-5% of the device's sale price. This is a very powerful business model.
It is that patent business that fuels the aggressive chip investments over at Qualcomm.
