Does not the fact that the trailing 52-week Nasdaq range in Dec. 2002 went up to 2098, but it now only goes to 1850 play a part in the 52-week high divergence?

If it does not, I do recall we had more highs in April 2002 than in Dec. 2001:

Maybe instead of leadership it's just real good distribution.
