You see, the problem here is that "Dr. Victor says..." all by itself is unlikely to get us any contracts. We need some solid proof that the tech works. This is where published papers come in. Publishing papers takes time and money. Unfortunately, it seems like currently Intellicell's time and money are being devoted to merely staying afloat and fighting off toxic debt.
There is a paper on PubMed titled "Adipose Stromal Vascular Fraction Isolation A Head-to-Head Comparison of Four Commercial Cell Separation Systems". The authors experimentally compare four commercially availabe ways to extract stromal vascular cells. In fact, Cytori had donated the use of their machine to the authors so they can compare it to the other three. In the end, Cytori's technology was proven to yield results vastly superior to the other three methods.
"The Celution System demonstrated the highest and most reproducible cell output. Furthermore, the residual enzyme activity, an important consideration as safety standards are established for this emerging technology, was lowest with the Celution System."
Anyone who is invested here or simply wants to know about what's going on in the field should read this paper. The PDF is not freely available, but I can email it to anyone who asks nicely in private.
The point here is that this paper shines some AMAZING light on Cytori's technology and it was published on June 4 2013. Surely, 4 months later, Cytori receives an equally amazing licensing deal. Do you think before paying someone the first $12M the guys on the other side wanted to read some solid numbers produced by credible PhDs like the above paper? Or do you think "Dr. Victor says..." would seal the deal?
That's our problem. Our CEO needs to start reaching out to people who can publish results, figures, graphs and comparisons on Intellicell's behalf before anyone in the medical community will take this company seriously.
This is why my realistic hope here is that SVFC can get some sort of financing deal worked out soon, which will allow the company to focus on the right things. I am watching closely.
