1st I'll start by saying I'm long on this one with high hopes in the short term cuz I don't want you to think I'm trying to cause doubt.
I was (& am) so excited about DECN I went through all the details of what's been going on with my wife (like a David knocking down Goliath type of deal in court, the product selling @ half price of JNJs, the PR from Forbes supposedly, the rumored pipeline of new products, the probability of a buyout & if by surprise they don't get bought out, that the company had been in the RED, quarter after quarter since the court case began, but it looks like Green pastures ahead <not forgetting the 5000 stores world wide who will be carrying our product shortly>)
I'm up in Canada, so my reference may be different elsewhere, but my wife said "even if they have a better product costing only 50%, you think anyone will actually buy it? Usually, once someone has begun using X well known product, they don't seek advice, because if it ain't broke, don't fix it... & when we go to Shoppers Drug Mart, we see tons of generic products that are the same or similar to that of popular items like 'Life' products, but quite honestly, we generally don't buy them..."
I know... Said I wasn't bashing, but sure does sound like it... But I'm just sharing a fraction of a second of doubt...
Then I remembered a few other things, like JNJ make aprox 2.6 BILLION a year on diabetes diagnostic equipment & strips (mostly from the strips) & DECN isn't claiming to be shooting for the moon saying they will take the whole market, there current goals I believe were more in the range of 250million or something (realistic management is always a good sign).
Then I also remembered most people aren't as fortunate as I to have an upper paying job (as most here probably do since you have free, cold, hard, cash to invest with :-)) that allows me to splurge on brand names. That if there was no substantial market for no name 'Life' brand products, there wouldn't be any on the shelves at all (supply & demand)
And I finished off my thoughts by reminding myself of all the good things I had just said to my wife & smiled
