I believe that a filing would be required, as he would be an insider at the time he would have had to exercise the options.

Kind of a grey area for me, Dat...

Since he is no longer and officer he is not a "related party." But since he was an officer at one time I can see how he would have to notify/file that he has/will exercise the options.
