Is the market looking forward to rebuilding the internet?
Actually in the last week I've heard a few news stories about people leaving the internet. Hanging up their modems. Don't have the time for it, and real don't see a need for it. And of course there is the signifcant percentage that never got on the internet and never will. The initial internet revolution is over. Now it is just another tool in the tool box. Of course since I use the internet to make a living, it's my most valuable tool. But if I didn't, it would just be something for my amusement and info when I had the time. And I certainly wouldn't have gotten DSL. Of course since I live on the internet I wouldn't use it without some kind of broadband.
PREM has been fairly quiet today. Only started in the +.80's, but that was good enough to hit buy levels, and contined to barely hit until 9:34. Computers didn't appear to be doing anything though. Do da boyz think we've topped? We've a few times come within an eyelash of hitting sell levels, but not yet. TICK has been fairly contained today, with not even hitting 750 yet and almost getting a -300. Looks like we have a 10:30 bounce in progress. Will it ramp us from here, or just become a lower high.
Hm, SPX, and OEX have managed higher highs. COMP and NDX came up just short with the Dow still a ways to go. And there is the TICK and PREM spiking on down. PREM just short of sell levels. And now new HOD's on COMP and NDX, but not MSFT.
Speaking of TICK and PREM, is there some place we can get live feeds now that Lycos has gone pay with 5 min "demos". Good thing I setup QuoteTracker with the TICK, but I prefer Lycos' chart since it's more accurate. For the PREM I'm just using the back button to reload it when I want to look at it. :( Any body know if you give then $10 a month if you lose the advertising?
