Not always. Suspensions and halts get mixed up a lot...from what Ive seen (and read), a halt is often times issued to let the market digest "turning point" news/events (say a buyout or merger) with a given security (often times only lasting a few hours at most).....A suspension is a little more serious in the sense that it is kind of a "Hey, we smell something foul here..lets shut this sucker down until we get to the bottom of the issue at hand (good or bad)"

yes, I was in another that this happened to. basically in a little over a week it will start trading again on the gray sheets, my opinion would be to sell immediately it starts trading again. There will be no bid or ask because there will be no market makers. You will also most likely have to call your broker and place the order over the phone, as most brokers don't do grey sheet trades unless you call them in. The company will put out a PR that is complete bs, "well we are very disappointed and are working very hard with the SEC to resolve this problem" blah blah blah. SELL!!!!!
