UHC simply made a business decision based on a law that the DEMS passed. Unexpected consequences...unlikely. All insurers in all states are dropping their guarantee issue and group conversion pools into the risk pool that is now priced for the worst of the worst.
Young and healthy...the DEMS just bent you over. You get to pay for that cancer case and just about anything else you can imagine.
