In a conventional war against the USA Iran wouldn't last long. Air superiority is the trump card in any conflict today. Of course, the USA hasn't waged a conventional war since WWII. I think even the current President of Iran appreciates how tenuous his position is.
It will be a very interesting to see how far he pushes this issue.
So that would also make Iraq the greatest fighting force ever assembled on this planet as well... Wow impressive. Yeah there's no chance we could win against such formidable foes.
I'm sure Iran has learnt a lesson, or two as a result. Beside it's apple and oranges. That's Muslim vs Muslim. This is different. What it may do is tip the balance of tolerance over.
It may take on a global level. How many Islamic countries can one attack before all Muslims feel it's gone personal? It could end up as massive world-wide guerilla warfare.
Can we truly afford that?
This war will be one bent on destoying America's weakened economy.
