And, in regard to your theory that there is a settlement that is on the table that is being held until after all of the claims are first settled, that is a supportable position.
With regards to GS, nobody else. The HFs have already ponied up, and as a result, are moving to change BK creditors committee responsibilities [or lack thereof, wanting to trade while serving; I guess the EC should get the same benefit], and won't be paying any more. JPM and FDIC have the protection of the confirmed plan, years passed the effective date, with the releases of 'almost everyone.
So, with regard to GS, I'd tend to agree that if there is a deal they are waiting. But, again, it is just GS. This rekindled talk of mega billions by others just because JPM is being fined and paying some money back simply does not have any route to get to WMILT or WMIH.
If true, it is a little bit better than we thought under 'it is what it is. But like all other speculations WaMu, those predicting billions will probably not like the actual if it is in the 5 digit millions.
When that is finally over, I hope that you will recognize that the SS secret factor in this entire case was a myth as I do. But, good luck until then and we hope for the best with GS.
