Frenchay may have done a pilot study with just a few patients (obviously since one of the patients featured in the video... Tom Fipps (sp?) already has the port behind his ear for CED infusion). However, everything I can find indicates that they are actively recruiting for a larger ~40 patient trial right now. Maybe some early pilot study results will come out soon, but it would appear that the main study hasn't yet kicked off.
I just re-watched the video on the Sky News link that I posted. Dr. Gill stated (at roughly the 1:30 mark) that they've done a small trial over the last nine months with six patients. Maybe the results from this early trial will be out sooner?
