blacktruck: My first LinkSys (wired) router, worked fine for about five years, but then I started having trouble with certain websites. I could not do a "Windows Update" nor could I upload files to my website, etc. I didn't have a clue what the problem was. I tried to do the latest firmware update, but it just wouldn't load. To do "Windows Updates", etc...I would have to bypass the router and wire directly to the DSL Modem.
So, I finally just spent a few dollars and bought a new LinkSys Router (BEFSX41). All problems solved...(very easy setup, just like the first one.) I only wished it had a few more ports (has four) as I am about to expand the home office. I could use eight...
