Duster, with Schwab, I use StreetSmart Pro giving me live streaming quotes, charts, etc. Does IB offer this? Schwab charged me the $19.95 commission for the 200 of 1000 filled and 100 of 500 filled--same amount I would have been charged for the complete fill. This is a recurring problem, so I may look into "trading" brokers.

Those used to QuoteTracker can trade through IB as well (QT has a built-in trading interface to IB, Datek, MyTrack, RJT, Ameritrade FreeTrade, NobleTrading and CyberTrader).

The interface takes some time to get used to...

...and don't depend too much on the effectiveness of their (IB) stop orders. They're kept internally and not even sent to the market until triggered by the stop price. In a fast-moving market/issue, the lag time can get your price jumped fairly easily.
