I have tried to find more info on this. I know we used SOLID because they have the best proven wash plant for this specific gravel/sand at Fraser. All estimates are a 90% recovery and 100 tons per hour capacity. Since this region is considered the warmest section of Canada with traditional mining we can probably wash with water 10-10.5 months per year. During any cold streak we would still be able to store ore for washing when warmer weather returns. I would rather use high volume proven technology for 10 months/yr than on something that may not work as well.
It will be interesting to watch this unfold and with 7.7 million tons of gravel we could be washing rocks for years.
