Actually, good as blade is - he got it wrong.

He said the Fed probably would taper.

I said they would not taper.

Blade did say the Fed should not taper, with which I agreed. But that is a judgment call - one that we will never know the truth of.

Bloomberg TV is calling the Verizon CEO a "genius" for his timing on the bond deal. LOLOL

The FED will be buying the entire mortgage backed bond market.

ENTA, GERN, ARRY all running up on the news. It will be a good day for small-cap bios.

Analysts are saying that today's news is even more "dovish" than the news looks at first blush.

Other analysts are arguing that Boehner's comments on a fight over the debt ceiling has spooked the FED.

I believe the S&P 500 has just blown through its previous high of 1704.

One different macro-cloud on the horizon is the current civil war among House Republicans. Obama is probably not going to be able to use cruise missiles (or even drones) targeted on the extremists though.

First we'll get a skirmish on the Obamacare/Continuing Resolution front (end of month due date), with a follow-up battle on the debt limit scheduled for next month. Boehner busy trying to figure out how to pass a clean CR and debt override while taking not-so-friendly fire from his right flank.

I bought some October VIX options as a hedge against craziness.
