I think that is a very old story, and one that was denied with some credibility by the US and agreed to by China, who dropped the protest. As well as I remember, the plane was under close Chinese security at all times and they later traced the bugs themselves back to China. The last I heard on it was that it was presumed to have been done by someone else in the Chinese ruling group.
