really....how much does a barrel of used motor oil cost? How much is a barrel of #2 refined oil? 10% margin with the machine we have? Your comment does not seem logical. Go ask your local Walmart automotive department how much they get for that used oil.
Oil recycling is a tough business requiring tight cost control. One of the largest companies went bust trying to make money in an industry with less than 10% margins. JBI doesn't stand a chance competing in that industry
Once again JBI is not going to be associated with 10% margins. I would not have bought this stock if I wasn't certain margins would exceed 100%. I know I know that is silly talk but JBI is a startup company just getting on its feet with production increasing at a rapid pace. The worthless executives that will no longer be on payroll and plastic being purchased not being done at ridiculous prices will drop COGS very quickly.
Oh bullshit. Your typical used oil recycler merely filters the used oil, not cracks it into fuel which commands a lot more money than filtered used oil.
Also, JBII uses waste oil and other fluids which are far different and cheaper than used oil.
Differentiating between "waste oil" and "used oil" The U.S. EPA defines the term "used oil" as any petroleum or synthetic oil that has been used, and as a result of such use is contaminated by physical or chemical properties.[2] "Used oil" is a precise regulatory term. "Waste oil" is a more generic term for oil that has been contaminated with substances that may or may not be hazardous.[1] Any oil contaminated with hazardous waste may itself be a hazardous waste, and if so, must be managed subject to hazardous waste management standards. Both used oil and waste oil require proper recycling or disposal to avoid creating an environmental problem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waste_oil#cite_note-2
JBII's process can handle waste oils than typical oil recyclers (filters) cannot handle, and JBII's process makes a fuel that typical oil recyclers (filters) cannot make.
