Birdies are out in full force. I think the cardinal has stopped attacking himself in my basement window... been quiet down there. I'm afraid to go outside and look. I'll be very upset if he lost the battle with himself and is lying in a dead heap on the ground.
Sounds like you've got the tax thing under control... Mine are still relatively simple... takes me about as long to do them manually as it does for you to use the software. If I didn't watch TV while I did them, it would probably take much less time.
The Jersey form is four pages of RED boxes... not easy on the eyes... so obnoxious. Basically you fill it out using the information on the Fed form... difference being that the amount of salary reported to them is slightly higher than on the Fed form... we get benefits dollars that are not taxable under federal law but are under Jersey rules.
I could go for a flat tax... but I would make it 5% of my income... PERIOD... Let the feds, state, city, etc. duke it out for their share.
