The Hot Dog was excellent. The table Mr. Bradley sat at during the CCs was still there with the easels and the VLJ model. The simulator was impressive. I found both Ms. Vigil and Mr. Cirmo to be very sincere folks with a focus on running a flight school. Mr. Henderson was doing Young Eagle flights and I did not get the opportunity to meet him. Mr. Canouse apparently was not there at all.
As for the KCOS operation, I don't know why they would be closed on any given day when the weather is beautiful. In my experience flight instructors are usually hungry and willing to do whatever it takes. There was no time schedule. The big sign on the building had been removed and replaced with one for the landlord. There was a sign set in a window. I could not see inside at all.
