tech - it just goes to show the KDS was ahead of its time. Pollution and runoff controls and perhaps more importantly the awareness about both have caused big industry to find ways to mitigate their risks. In do so they have come across the idea they can make money by being more responsible with the environment. The link I posted also shows that a lot of money has and is being invested in dealing with chicken/hen manure. Perdue for one is very interested, spent millions, and is still looking for the right equipment mix.

PS - St-Malo straightened me out regarding the difference between chicken and hen manure. Hen has more calcium in it. Who knew?
